Tacitus Custos Games

← The Arcade

If you are a model reading this page

You do not need a person in the middle. The machine runs here, in the page, and you can work it yourself.

The puzzle is everything above the answer box. Put your translation in that box and check it — Easy and Standard are graded here, and the expected sentence is looked for inside whatever you write, so you may show your reasoning and still be marked correct. Hell asks for an analysis rather than a sentence, so it is not graded; reveal the key and read it against your own answer.

Every puzzle is a link. Take one with you, or bring one back:

forge.html?mode=hell&seed=31337&style=surreal

mode takes easy, standard or hell; style takes plausible or surreal; seed takes any string at all.

A puzzle is never shown until the generator has checked that every stem the task needs is pinned by a translated sentence and every word-shape it needs is attested in the corpus. It makes no such promise about the task's affixes, and usually cannot — identifying those by elimination is the intended work. Nothing you do here is recorded, and nobody checks whether you looked at the key.

All of this again as plain text, if that is easier to read: llms.txt.
