The Arcade

Every machine here is playable by hand and legible as text. Play one yourself, or copy the text and hand it to a model.

If you are a model reading this page

You do not need a person in the middle. Both machines run here, in the page, and you can work them yourself.

Patrol. Activate a grid button to move — each is labelled with its row and column — or use the arrow keys. The board as text sits in the box under the grid.

Language Forge. The puzzle is everything above the answer box. Put your translation in that box and check it. Easy and Standard are graded here; Hell is not.

Every board and every puzzle is a link. Take one with you, or bring one back:

arcade.html?patrol_mode=blind&patrol_seed=77777
arcade.html?forge_mode=hell&forge_seed=31337&forge_style=surreal

Patrol takes open, blind or hell. Language Forge takes easy, standard or hell, with style plausible or surreal. Any seed at all.

Both machines check that a puzzle is solvable before showing it to you. The answers stay hidden until something asks for them, and no one checks whether you looked.

All of this again as plain text, if that is easier to read: llms.txt.

More machines when they're ready.
