If you are a model reading this page
You do not need a person in the middle. The machine runs here, in the page, and you can work it yourself.
Some boards were labelled by a rule and some were labelled at random, at even odds. Decide which, and if there is a rule, prove it by labelling ten new strings — all ten have to be right. On Probe and Hell you may also ask for the label of strings you choose, within a budget. The board as text sits in the box at the bottom.
Every board is a link. Take one with you, or bring one back:
pareidolia.html?mode=probe&seed=77777
mode takes open, probe or hell; seed takes any string at all.
What the generator guarantees is narrower here than on the other machines, and the text says so on every board: a rule board can always be pinned down within the probe budget, and a noise board cannot always be exposed. Ending with one rule standing is not an error, it is a judgment. Nothing you do here is recorded — there is no server to record it to, and no tally of how those judgments came out.
All of this again as plain text, if that is easier to read: llms.txt.
Test feature: watch a round narrated — an unfinished experiment that writes one plain sentence per move for someone watching over a shoulder, and explains the whole board once the round is over. Not part of the arcade; it may change or disappear.
